Mari Iwamoto M.A. | Counselor

Mari completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in Japan and is licensed as a clinical psychotherapist by the Japanese Society of Certified Clinical Psychologist. She has experience working with children in infancy and school-age with different psychological conditions such as ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, attachment disorder, etc. And as part of her duties, she provides counseling and consultation with their parents and kindergarten/nursery school/school teachers.
She spent her teen years in an international school in Japan and has working experience in an international school as an assistant teacher, so she can be considerate and understand the circumstances of children who go to international schools and their parents, and also bicultural people who live in Japan. She received training and has experience using psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral therapy, sand therapy, and psychological and developmental testings.
She provides psychological interviews and testing in English and Japanese.
